LET GO AND LET’S GO – INNER HEALING TRANSFORMATION

Inner healing is a life transforming process that incorporates our past, present and future. When Jesus shed His blood, He carried our inner pain and wounds, so that we don’t have to!  Inner Healing requires us to “let go” of the things of the past that hinder and bind us in our present and guides us into the great things God has planned for our future. It is God liberating and restoring us from the brokenness and the deepest wounds of our heart.

Let Go

I like what Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 3:13; “Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching unto those things which lie ahead . . .”  It seems he understood that letting go of the past and going forth into the future are vital to inner healing.  Forgetting is not denial.  When Joseph said, “God has made me forget all my trouble” (Genesis 41:50 NIV), he wasn’t talking about blocking out any remembrance of the jealousy, hatred, or abuse he’d experienced at the hands of his brothers.  Forgetting is letting God heal our past wounds and the hurt so that the memory is now surrounded by peace not pain. It’s a matter of choice that requires our willingness to change, our forgiveness of ourselves and others, and our heartfelt repentance.

Let’s Go

God said, “do not call to mind the former things or ponder the things of the past. Behold I will do something new, NOW it will spring forth. . . (Isaiah 42:17-19 NAS.)  If we allow God to change us today, our future will be different from our past. Let go and let’s go with God who has forgiven, cleansed, redeemed, restored and pardoned us through the blood of Jesus and who permits the Holy Spirit to led us into a prosperous, peaceful and rewarding future.
